Pelican Bay Promise Campaign Kick-off

On January 20, 2010 residents from the Pelican Bay community gathered at Waterside Shops in Naples to celebrate the public kick-off of the Pelican Bay Promise Campaign for Avow Hospice.  Campaign Chair Mickey Biondo announced the funds raised to date as part of the quiet/leadership phase - $333,000.  The Pelican Bay Promise Campaign has set a goal of raising $1 million for Avow Hospice.

Avow® Hospice is a community-focused, not-for-profit hospice, serving its friends, families and neighbors living in Collier County, Florida since 1983. Avow provides specialized end-of-life care to those living with a life-threatening illness and offers support to those who are caring for them. Our interdisciplinary care team provides medical care, pain management and complementary therapies. Avow Hospice cares for patients wherever they live. In addition, Avow Hospice has the only hospice house in Collier County (for in-patient acute care and respite). Avow also offers grief and bereavement support to the families and friends of our patients as well as anyone in the community who has experienced a loss. Avow Hospice is a non-profit organization that relies on community donations to help fund patient care and programs for our community.
