Opening the Heart to Grief Workshop

On September 12, 2009, Avow Hospice will host Opening the Heart(TM) to Grief workshop. This session is for adults experiencing past or present grief and who wish to explore, release, and be enriched in the process of healing. Too often grief tears us open, leaving us wounded, lost and in pain. The wounded heart responds to love and kindness, qualities which, when shared, heal and restore us. Please join us in opening to your grief, while allowing yourself to receive and give compassion.
Avow Hospice Opening the Heart to Grief workshop will be facilitated by Avow Hospice Bereavement Coordinator Louise Kenny, LCSW and Opening the Heart™ staff members Linda Aranda Belliveau, BPH, Jon Berenson, PhD, Peter Watson and Donna Macomber.
Is this workshop for you? If you have experienced loss, grief and/or bereavement, this workshop is for you. It will provide a safe and supportive environment to access feelings, work through blocked emotions, disentangle from the past, reconnect with core truths and learn to live more fully from the heart.
This workshop may NOT be appropriate for you if you are in early sobriety or have recently been suicidal. If you are in the care of a psychiatrist or counselor, it is recommended that you consult with your psychiatrist or therapist before you attend.
