Family Care

We care for people of all ages. We also support patient families and friends.

We promise to respect your family - and to treat you as a member of ours.

Support groups, individual counseling, educational opportunities and information on other resources are all part of the Avow Hospice bereavement program for both adults and children. Our commitment to family members continues for a minimum of 13 months after their loved one's death.

Please visit the Grief Support and Spiritual Support pages of this site for detailed information on those services, as well as for helpful guidelines, booklets and support group information to help you heal.

Remembering

Several times per year we hold Remembering memorial services to honor the memories of our patients and other members of the community. Held in a local sanctuary or gathering place, these nondenominational services feature instrumental and vocal music, readings, candle lighting ceremonies and other tributes to our patients and their families. Invitations to Remembering services are sent to the family and friends of patients who died within approximately the nine months prior to the service, but all are welcome to participate.
